     Well, I've been quite busy with school lately and the craziness of my senior year is exactly how I've heard it would be:-) We are now entering our really busy birthday time, we have Belle's on the 2nd, Ally and Alex's on the 13th and in June we have mine, which is on the 22nd and Zach's which is on the 30th. We also have my dad's and Emma's in July. We have been trying to stay with our schedule, but with a mixture of sickness and some other odd things, it has been a little difficult.

     It ended up that Ally's voice recital was on the same day of the draft and started at the same time, so we had our grandma record it. We had a great time at Ally's recital and the cake my mom made was AWESOME. We had some little fingers foods and our new family favorite, Jalapeno Bacon dip. Ally found this site about a month back that has all of these really good dips, we have tried about 4 or 5 now and our favorites from so far is the Jalapeno Bacon and Artichoke garlic. When we got home from the recital we found out that the recording stopped halfway through the draft :( But we watched the part we did have and had a great time:-)

     The next morning our grandma woke up at 4:00am to record the royal wedding for Ally (our grandma's pretty awesome:-), she went over to her house later that day to watch it and they had a lot of fun doing that. Friday night we couldn't decide what to watch, then my Dad found a replay of the royal wedding on so we all watched that together. I love history so it was pretty cool seeing Westminster Abbey and all the historical architecture there.

     This week everyone has stayed pretty healthy, but that always means next week we'll have a different sickness:-) I was able to get a lot of school done this week and that was nice. Belle is having her family party Friday night (we always have a party with just the family, besides the party with her friends) so now we're working on that. Well, I hope you all have a good week.

     Well, we have had quite the winter here in KC. It snowed a ton in March and we even had a snow in April. I have been stuffing in school the last couple of months in my attempt to graduate this year (which looks like it will happen:-).

     Ally got the new Disney movie Tangled, and it was the first Disney movie in a while that was very entertaining and had some really funny stuff in it (it wasn't corny for once:-). I also was acquainted with Flynn Rider (AKA Eugene Fitzherbert) while watching Tangled and it was nice to meet someone who also believed in having self acceptance...just kidding. :-). I loved the line "I always had super human looks":-)

     I highly enjoyed watching the Kansas Jayhawks (who were a top seated team in the NCAA tournament) lose early:-) Although my Missouri Tigers didn't do much better:-( Still, it was fun watching Kansas lose. I also predicted Kentucky to beat Ohio State in the tournament so that is two years straight I have predicted Ohio State to lose early and they did. :-)

      I got to see Toy Story 3 this month, and Pixar didn't disappoint (they never have:-). It is amazing that they have gotten their animation so good that it always feels like it is actually real people. I also enjoyed watching a lot of the Pixar films recently, because when you are little you don't get a lot of the jokes. I was very surprised how much Toy Story 3 felt like a live motion picture instead of an animated film. I also finally got to see many of the other Pixars that I hadn't seen yet over the last few months (Ratatouille, Finding Nemo and Toy Story 2). So I've practically seen all of them.

     The NFL draft is also coming up next week, so I am counting down the days till our draft party. We boys go every year to our grandma's and watch the draft and then spend the night. Missouri has 2 players that could go quite high in the draft so I'm excited!

Please be in prayer for my Aunt who started her chemotherapy this week. She was diagnosed with breast cancer in May of 2006 and was in remission last year, but the cancer has returned and is now in her brain as well as her lungs. The Chemo is helping so far so please be in prayer that it will continue to heal her.

Please also be in prayer for a family friend Jared Boyd. He was diagnosed with Ewing's Sarcoma, which is a rare type of cancer. He is going in today to have a tumor removed in his back, so please be in prayer for him. We have had a great week and the Church payed for our family to go to Dollywood, where I got to ride all to rollercosters and they had a lot of neat shows. This Day 9 Years Ago

Today is the ninth anniversary of the Muslim terrorist attack on the United States. It was the most tragic event in American history. The closest thing in comparison is Pearl Harbor, but this was not on an island miles away but it was in New York City. When I was younger I always had that thought that "America can never be attacked" but on September, 11, 2001, the Muslin terrorists killed thousands in their suicide attack on the Pentagon, Twin towers and if not for the brave men on United Flight 93, the White House as well.

We also need to remember today the many firefighters who gave their lives trying to save others. I was reading an account of many of the stories about different people who saved tons of people and died trying to save more.

Many people are saying these day, "just get over it, it was 9 years ago". But just like Pearl Harbor and other tragedies we have to never forget the heroes who gave their lives and the lessons we learned.

I think today of all days is a good time to think about what you felt like on that day and then how the Muslims are building a victory mosque on the site. We cannot allow the Muslims to get the victory here. And if we allow our politicians to allow this, it will waste the lives of those who not only died on that day, but those who have lost their lives in the recent wars as well.

Sorry I haven't written in so long, but we have been quite busy here. I am leaving tomorrow for Arkansas where my dad is speaking in a pastors conference. The rest of the family (besides Nick) are staying home. We will be there till late Saturday and have not decided yet if we will try to make the drive home (8 hours) that night. We have already been to this church about a month ago when we went for their missions conference.

We had a fun time last Thursday when we went over to our grandma's for the NFL Draft. We stayed in her basement where she has a sweet set up with some beds and couches. It also has two TVs there, which we hooked our Xbox 360 and PS2 too. We watched the draft on her big screen TV and I was jumping off the walls when the Chiefs (my favorite team) pick Tennessee Safety Eric Berry who in my opinion is the best player in the draft. We had Papa John's for dinner and she had Ice Cream and other treats for us boys (Nick, Alex and myself) to snack on. After the first round of the draft we stayed up till 1:30 playing Indiana Jones on our Xbox 360 (We also threw in a little NCAA 09 and Madden 10).

The next day we had delicious waffles (made by our grandma) and got ready to go out with her. We went bowling and after having not so good of a game I finished with a 98 score. We also had King Louie's (that's the name of the bowling alley) chili cheese fries which in my opinion is the best out there. After that we headed to Target to gorge on their Jelly Belly selection. We all picked out the different kinds we wanted (My favorites are Sour Green Apple, Cappuccino, Sizzling Cinnamon and Dr. Pepper). As we snacked on our Jelly Belly's we dropped my GameStop to see if they had any good deals on their games (They have some pretty good prices). On the way home we got Taco Bell and I got their Chicken Quesadilla with a Pepsi (Coca-Cola can't even try to beat the taste of Pepsi).

We watched the second round of the draft before heading home and to my satisfaction the Chiefs picked up two more talented players in Mississippi, WR/HB Dexter McCluster and Alabama CB Javier Arenas.

Well, I better get to packing so talk to you guys again soon.

A friend of ours Jared Boyd has Cancer and is getting treatment at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. He is improving but I wanted to write this post and ask for prayer. Pray that his platelet level will not drop anymore so that he can finish his cancer treatments quickly.

An Update of a Fun Week

Well, we just got over a week long visit from two of Ally's friends. We had tons of fun and it felt like the week only took 2 days.

The first day we went to Crown Center Mall in Kansas City. For lunch we went to this really neat cafe called Fritz's. It is a restaurant where all your food is brought to you by a train that runs along the top of the wall. As the train is passing your table a little gate comes down and slides the basket full of food off the train and onto a little elevator to your table. When you order your food you use the phone next to your table to call in your order. Just for fun Nick ordered for us using a British accent and after he order he remarked "Oh, if you would...could you please turn down the music it is giving me quite a head ache". The man didn't say anything and then the music (which was rock) was some how seemed to quite down:-)

After the restaurant we went through the mall and finished at the Chip Chocolate factory where they had big slabs of fudge. Only problem was that each one was 7 dollars so in the end we decided to share one:-) Also on our way out we took a walk through Union Station.

That night we played Ping Pong and had a delicious Cuban meal made by my dad. After dinner and ping pong we played 7-up which was quite fun. We finally went to bed at 1:00am that night.

Tuesday the girls went to Victoria Trading Company (a Victorian store) while my brothers and I watched the kids. After they got home we visited the Santa Fe Cemetery (it is located two houses down from our house) and got to see the grave that is labeled HORSE THIEF. After dinner we where about to start a movie when Kate (we don't know if it was an allergy or the flu) had to lay down and by night fall surrender dinner.

The next morning the girl spent in Ally's room nursing Kate and using their computers (they all have one). After a while Kate felt pretty good again so the girls did some thing where you put chocolate, sour cream and other nasty things on your face (I didn't participate:-) which is some how suppose to help your face. That night we went to Church and the girls sang a special. That night when we got home we started our movie that was postponed by Kate's illness. We decided to show them the BBC vision of Wives and Daughters and as we finished the first episode Kate conked out:-) We soon woke her up and the girls decided, just for fun, to go over and sleep at my grandma's house (which is next to ours). So, at 12:30am we hauled over all of the girls stuff to our grandma's and then we went home and hit the sack.

Thursday Morning the girls woke early and went shopping at the Plaza (needless to say they couldn't afford anything since most clothes there rang in the hundreds). Meanwhile the boys and I watched the kids and helped the little girls get a tea party ready for the big ones. I helped Belle make Rice Crispy treats and biscuits. At 4:00pm the girl returned and they had the Tea Party. That night we got Pizza for dinner (although Kate kept to Banana's, Toast and Serra Mist:-). We also finished the remaining 3 episodes of Wives and Daughters and after the movie the girls went to packing. They finally got packed at about 1:30am and after that they decided to play PIT so we all went down stairs and played PIT till 3:00am.

Friday Morning we left for the airport at 8:00am (which meant everyone had to get up around six). We played Write a Story on the way there and once we got there we checked Tori in and got her to her plane. But while going through security she forgot to take her keys out of her pocket so she had to have a pat down by security:-). After that she got on her plane and we headed home again. That afternoon Kate and Ally talked until 4:30 when we had to take Kate to the airport. Kate had an uneventful security check and she got through fine.

A Child's Faith

We where watching a movie about when Jesus ascended into haven when Joe (he is five) was wondering how (before Jesus ascended into haven) he kept appearing everywhere. So Ally told him "Jesus is everywhere, he is with daddy, Mamaw and us" to which Joey replied "Is there lot's of Jesus"? Then Ally answered "No there is only one". Then Joey replied "He sure most walk fast".

Travel Update

We just returned from Tennessee where we had a great missions conference. It was the first missions conference we have been to that was 8 days long. We had a really fun time despite being plagued with snow the whole trip:-) They did take us on (praise the Lord) which is good:-) We stayed in a Ladies house, while she stayed with some friends so we had the whole house to our selves which was very nice.

They have a Christian School at the church and a REALLY nice gym which I was able to play 2 games in. I had a total of 9 points in the game which wasn't great although I did sink a three right as I passed the half court line so it wasn't a half court shot but it was close:-)! I also had 3 steals in my last game and 4 rebounds which is ok since I was playing against a guy that was like 6 foot 3 inches and I am only 5'9. There was also a men's BBQ on Monday and Bill Rice the 3rd was the special speaker.

Then on Friday they had a missionary parade and after the parade each class did a funny skit and during each skit they would find a funny way to give the missionary's the money they had collected. In all the school collected 16,000 to give to the missionary's.

The rest of the week went great as well and we where barely able to leave because it snowed Sunday night and we had to leave early Monday morning.

But we are home safe now and off for two weeks until we go to Arkansas for our next meeting. Praise the Lord for his provision!

Meetings Coming Up

Well we've been a little busy these past few weeks and it is going to get going even faster these coming weeks. We went to the Apple Orchard in Louisburg, KS and we had a great time. They have the greatest apple cider donuts there and I got some really good Coffee Toffee. They also had old style Root beer there and it was REALLY good. Our grandma came with us and as I said we had a great time. The Orchard is only 20 Minutes from our house and Louisburg cider is sold all over the country. When you go you can also watch them make the cider (we used to go when I was little and back then they used all the old tools to make it but now most of it is done by machine).

We will be headed for Nebraska this week and get home Wednesday night at around 12:00 at night and then my dad has to fly to California for a meeting at 6:00 AM. Then we go to Fort Scott, Kansas for a Missions conference and then the next week we leave for Pennsylvania for a week and then we are done for the year (except for a couple of local meetings).

Also they moved the Baby's due date to December 18th (my mom's B-Day). Also Nick's birthday was two weeks ago (can't believe it's been that long) and he turned 18 and then Addy's B-Day is coming up on October 26. So everything is running I guess kinda normal for this time of year although the Christmas spirit is starting to come over me:-)

Sorry I haven't written in so long. We have had a busy month--started school, done meetings and hosted a party for the church we attend.

I do have pic's from the party we did and I will try to post them ASAP.

Our household schedule has started and we now get up at 5:00am to start school...so I'd better get to bed. ;-)

Well things have been pretty dead around here as we prepare to get everything for this year's school scedule ordered and ready to start.

I have calculated that I will be graduating in the class of 2011. I have thee option to finish next year in the class of 2010 but I decided to go ahead and (since I am only 15) do as much extra stuff as possible. With the exception of math and history, I'm almost finished with high school anyway, and I can finish the math and history stuff by 2011 as I said. So that means I am now in my Junior year of High School (which as you know is 11th grade:-)

A Lesson from my Devotions

Well today I wanted to share with you a lesson in my devotions I learned. The guy that wrote the devotional told a story about one time after he finished working on a house he decided to take all the scrap wood over to his brother's house because his brother heated his house with a wood stove.

Well after he grabbed the wood he decided to just lay down for ten minutes before he went and when he woke up it was 2 hours later. He said he kept telling himself what a sloth he was and how he never thought he would be a good sevent for God and have a diligent attitude. Well he said he kept saying those kind of things to himself all the way to his brother's house. And then as he got there he knocked on the door and he brother answered the door.

As he entered he saw his brother's wood stove door open and a ton of papers smoldering. "You came just in time" his brother started. "I couldn't get this fire to start". They put the sraps of wood and instantly the fire lit. Then he said "Consider If I had came 2 hours before, it would not have seemed as if God had provided the wood for my brother's fire just as he needed it". So the lesson goes on to say that while we should care when we over sleep or etc., he said he should have asked God to help him to be more diligent and ask for his forgiveness and then forget about it. If we dwell on the wrong things we do the whole time we will be very discouraged and if we are discouraged it is hard to try and make ourselves better servants of God.

Hello Everyone!

My name is Jonathan Alexander Rovirosa and I am 15 years old. First of all I'd like to say that I am a Christian and second an American. I am the third born of ten in our family and number eleven is on the way. My family are in the ministry and I am perparing to be a father as well as finishing high school up:-). My favorite Subject is Math and I love playing and watching sports.
